On the first day of the May Day holiday, cross-regional personnel flow is expected to exceed 340 million people

The reporter learned from the Ministry of Transport of China on the 1st that on the first day of this year’s May Day holiday, the cross-regional personnel flow of the whole society is expected to be 340.95 million, a month-on-month increase of 59.9% and a year-on-year increase of 8.0% (the first day of last year’s May Day holiday, the same below).
According to the data of the Ministry of Transport, on May 1, the railway passenger volume is expected to be 22.5 million, a month-on-month increase of 22.8% and a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. The highway personnel flow is expected to be 314.76 million, a month-on-month increase of 64.1% and a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. The water passenger volume is expected to be 1.35 million, a month-on-month increase of 63.0% and a year-on-year increase of 53.5%. The civil aviation passenger volume is expected to be 2.34 million, a month-on-month increase of 0.6% and a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.
Data shows that on April 30 (the day before the May Day holiday), the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society was 213.27 million, a month-on-month increase of 28.8% and a year-on-year increase of 4.5% (the day before the May Day holiday last year, the same below). Among them, the railway passenger volume was 18.316 million, a month-on-month increase of 40.0% and a year-on-year increase of 11.5%. The highway passenger flow was 191.80 million, a month-on-month increase of 28.2% and a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. The water passenger volume was 828,000, a month-on-month increase of 15.5% and a year-on-year increase of 18.7%. The civil aviation passenger volume was 2.325 million, a month-on-month increase of 4.5% and a year-on-year increase of 16.8%.
